The page is now gone from the Audi UK website, but not before enthusiast site GTSpirit was able to capture a screen-grab containing the juicy details.
The webpage shows a photo of the current Audi RS6, accompanied by a caption introducing us to the hot new model, known as the RS 6 Avant Plus.
“The RS6 Plus is the latest of Audi’s stunning RS ‘Plus’ models, offering even greater performance and agility than the standard RS6—on or off the track. The RS6 Avant Plus uses a tuned version of the 4.0 litre V8 TFSI RS6 engine which produces 600 BHP—40 BHP more than the RS6,” the caption reads.
That means an output of 448kW for the new performance wagon, or a boost of 36kW over the ‘regular’ RS 6’s 412kW (which is actually higher than the 40 BHP claimed).
Torque is currently listed at 700Nm for the 4.0 litre V8 and while the leak doesn’t contain details of a higher figure for the new Plus model, an output of around 763Nm is possible if torque was to improve by a similar percentage.
The leak also revealed the new wagon will be a ‘full production’ model, free from the limitations of an individually-numbered ‘special edition’ or similar.
The new model is also expected to offer improved handling over the standard RS6, as weight-saving on the Plus is believed to be a focus for Audi.
Stay tuned to TMR for more details on the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant Plus.
