The news follows the Volante's online unveiling early last month, and comes ahead of its Australian launch later this year.
The Vanquish Volante is distinguished in being the first topless Aston to be skinned in carbon fibre, making it 14 percent stiffer than its DBS predecessor.
Aside from a soft roof, the Volante also wears a unique boot lid and spoiler design. Of course, the interior is largely identical to the coupe - barring the obvious convertible-related tweaks.
Importantly for performance-minded buyers, the Volante is just 9kg heavier than the Vanquish coupe, with the same 421kW and 620Nm V12 driving the rear wheels. As a result, Aston promises the same 4.1 second sprint to 100km/h.
