The question of which badge we'll see on the back of Aston Martin's new flagship may have been answered, with a new spy video out of the UK offering a revealing new clue.

Caught by Britain's Car magazine, a new Aston tucked into the back of a transporter was seen this week wearing a Vanquish badge.

It is also clear that the car is the AM310 'concept' revealed at last week's Concorso d'Eleganza in Italy, widely believed to be the carmaker's new hero car.

If the spied car is not merely a decoy, the familiar Vanquish name appears set to make its first market appearance since the first model's 2007 retirement.

Originally succeeded by the DBS as Aston Martin's flagship model, it's possible that the arrival of a new Vanquish will also see the DBS badge retired, or shifted down the line as a replacement for the DB9.

Technical details for the AM310 remain a secret, and while rumours suggest a more powerful version of the car's existing V12 engine, Aston has yet to offer any official clues. TMR explored engine opportunities in an earlier report.
