Aston Martin has offered the first official look at the 2018 DB11 in convertible guise - though the British supercar firm isn’t giving away all its trade secrets just yet.

Described as a “lightly disguised engineering car” the teaser images show what looks like a very production-ready form, with a few bulky camouflage panels obscuring the rear quarter panels and boot lid of the DB11 Volante.

Those hidden panels are more important than you might first think however. The coupe’s rear pillar design is used to channel air over the rear spoiler, so the Volante will need to replicate the same effect in a roofless design.
