Aston Martin and styling house Bertone have revealed the result of their collaboration today, in the form of the Jet 2+2 wagonette.

The latest in a growing crowd of sleek 'shooting brake' models, the Jet 2+2 has one extra trick: unlike many of its 'rivals', this Aston is no mere concept.

Based on the Rapide four-door coupe, the Jet 2+2 is a "strict one-off" wagon built for a collector, with the approval of Aston Martin.

Importantly for both brands, the debut of the Jet 2+2 comes as part of the celebrations for Aston Martin's 100th birthday, and the 60th anniversary of collaboration with Bertone.

The Jet's shooting brake design retains the 2+2 seating of the Rapide, but offers more headroom for rear passengers. The rear seats can also fold flat to make the most of the wagon storage.
