Apple Car Appears Doomed As Workers Shown The Door

Rumours of the demise of the Apple Car project are growing stronger by the day, as the global tech giant appears certain to pull the pin.

Bloomberg reports that the car dubbed Project Titan by Apple has been “drastically scaled back”, with hundreds of employees informed that they are no longer required.

Apple has made no secret of its endeavours into the field of self-driving cars, but the ‘Apple Car’ expected to eventuate from the research has been far more secretive.

And now, it appears Apple (like others) is realising just how much red tape is involved in designing a car from scratch, with the report quoting evidence from anonymous parties said to be close to Project Titan.

Around 1000 people are believed to have been involved in the project. Aside from those who were shown the door, others have chosen to leave voluntarily with the remainder assigned to other Apple programs.
