NISSAN JUKE AND PATHFINDER
Available in Australia now (media launch events due this month), both models now offer a top safety rating, applying to all Pathfinder variants and front-wheel-drive non-turbo versions of the Juke.
Announcing the results today, ANCAP spokesperson Jack Haley said the only disappointment in the Pathfinder's score was a 'marginal' rating for pedestrian safety.
“It is very encouraging to see Nissan building 5 star cars and the Pathfinder result follows other Nissan 5 star results over the last few years”, Haley said.
“It is becoming increasingly difficult to sell cars in Australia without a 5 star safety rating. Nissan should be congratulated on raising the Pathfinder to this higher level of safety”.
Standard safety features for both the Juke and Pathfinder include dual front, side chest and side head airbags, along with antilock brakes, electronic brake distribution and electronic stability control.
