An internal company bulletin from a supplier to Fiat Chrysler has revealed that the next generation Jeep Wrangler will feature lightweight aluminum panels for the bonnet and doors.

The bulletin, from aluminium supplier Alcoa details the supply of its product lines 6022 and 951. 

The first, 6022, is a high strength, highly formable sheet alloy for use in automotive panels, with the internal bulletin outlining its use for the front and rear door inners, and outer and inner bonnet.
