An ex-Tesla employee and an entrepreneur have announced plans to develop an EV race car, and both men are from Australia.

Rudi Tuisk is Tesla’s former Chief Technician in Europe and Asia, currently based in Sydney, while Simon Hackett is the founder of internet service provider Internode. He was also the first person to purchase a Tesla in Australia.

The pair plan to develop an all-electric powered racer by the end of this year, and demonstrate its capability at exhibition races in Europe and Asia.
