Italian design house Lazzarini has been dreaming about the Alfa Romeo 4C and how it might be imagined with a few key design tweaks and a whole lot more power.
The ‘regular’ 4C is powered by a 1.75 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 177kW and 350Nm, with a 0-100km/h time of 4.5 seconds.
But 4.5 seconds is perhaps the equivalent of a calendar-year for Lazzarini, who has instead proposed shoehorning Ferrari’s 4.5 litre V8 from the 458 into the small Italian sports car.
Lazzarini would also fit the 458’s transmission to cope with the extra horsepower, and then strain that transmission further by adding two Hennessey turbochargers.
