Jaguar will bring its new F-Type roadster to October's Australian International Motor Show, mere weeks after its global unveiling at the Paris Motor Show.
Its second appearance anywhere in the world and the first in the southern hemisphere, the F-Type's local debut will follow months of spy photos - both genuine and official.
"We are honoured and excited that the 2012 Australian International Motor Show has been selected as the platform for the second official world unveiling of the all-new Jaguar F-TYPE convertible," AIMS boss Russ Tyrie said.
The coming of the F-Type also follows years of speculation and reports on Jaguar's next model, pointing to plans for either a new coupe or convertible that would take on the likes of German rival Porsche.
The public's first look at what would eventually become the F-Type came in the form of last year's C-X16 coupe concept, but Jaguar has been far from quiet in the months since.
