HSV has filled out its 25th anniversary range with the addition of a special new '2012.5' GTS variant, joining the line-up announced in August.

Driven by the same 325kW 6.2 litre V8 powerhouse, the limited-edition GTS celebrates HSV's 25th birthday with a handful of styling, performance and technology tweaks.

New Satin Graphite 20-inch forged alloy wheels are featured, saving a full 22kg over the regular wheel set and reducing unsprung weight by eight percent.

Behind the big alloys are six-piston brakes offering a 50 percent increase in pad area, and HSV has also added Blind Zone Alert to the 25th birthday pack.

The 'Vector' bonnet scoops and side vents are finished in the same Satin Graphite featured on the wheels, and there's a number of birthday identifiers inside and out, including a unique build plate in the cabin.

Holden says the added features are worth $7500, but the special model will retail for $84,990 - $2000 more than the regular GTS.

HSV has made 125 of the GTS 25th Anniversary models available for Australia, in Heron, Sting, Phantom and Hazard colours.

The GTS 25th Anniversary will debut at this month's Australian International Motor Show, and will be available at dealers from Thursday October 18.
