Mercedes-Benz has detailed local specifications for its E-Class All-Terrain wagon, with the new model going on sale from June.
The high-riding wagon will only be offered in one specification for Australia called the Mercedes-Benz E 220d All-Terrain, priced from $109,900 before on road costs.
At this price, the All-Terrain undercuts the rival Audi A6 Allroad by about $3000.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 143kW and 400Nm and is paired to a nine-speed auto with power delivered to all four wheels.
Bigger tyres and higher air suspension raise the ride height of the All-Terrain by 29mm over the regular wagon variant.
The All-Terrain comes with a variety of driving modes, including a dedicated off-road setting that raises the standard air suspension by 20mm at speeds up to 35km/h.
Style-wise Mercedes-Benz has blended an SUV-like front with a more traditional wagon body and rear end, with the front grille and bumper the prime examples of the SUV style.
Inside, the All-terrain comes equipped with the Avantgarde level of trim but also features stainless steel sports pedals and floor mats with All-Terrain lettering.
