Along with the new variant the British luxury car maker has its revised XJ limousine for 2018, with a range of styling, tech and safety upgrades.
The XJR575 stamps its authority thanks to an uprated version of Jaguar's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine, with outputs stepped up by 19kW and 20Nm compared to the outgoing XJR for peak figures of 423kW and 700Nm.
The athletic XJ is now capable of hitting 100km/h from rest in a claimed 4.4 seconds and can accelerate onto a top speed of 300km/h.
To further set the flagship XJR575 apart, two unique Special Vehicle Operations colours will be available, Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey (pictured) with an exterior styling pack including deeper side sills, mesh filled front intakes, and gloss black finishes for the rear spoiler, grille and intake surrounds.
20-inch gloss black alloy wheels with red brake calipers and exterior badging further differentiate the XJR575 from the other models in the XJ range.
On the inside the interior features diamond quilted upholstery and 575 embossed aluminium door sill plates. Infotainment gets upgraded to Jaguar Land Rover’s newest 10-inch touchscreen, up from 8.8-inches, with a revised user interface.
Safety systems have also been given a boost with the inclusion of forward cross traffic alert, lane keep assist and driver fatigue alert across the range.
The updated Jaguar XJ range goes on sale in the first quarter of 2018, with pricing to be revealed closer to the launch date.
