Volkswagen has revealed the newest addition to its refreshed 2017 Amarok line-up, with the beefed-up Canyon unveiled as part of the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover, Germany.

Designed to slot into the range as a competitor to the dressed-up Ford Ranger Wildtrack and Holden Colorado Z71, the Amarok Canyon builds into the Amarok Comfortline a more adventure-ready style.

Canyon features include chunky 17-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone matte-grey and machined finish, a matte-black sports bar, matte-black wheel arch trims and side rails, and a rear roof rack holding up a quartet of of driving lights.

Darkened tail lights, an impact-resistant bedliner, and a set of Canyon decals complete the package.
