Peugeot’s Australian relaunch is off to a flying start with confirmation of a five-star safety rating for the new 3008 SUV from the Australiasian New Car Assesment Program (ANCAP).

The 3008 scored 86 percent (32,89 out of 38 points) for adult occupant protection and 85 percent (41.98 out of 49 points) for child occupant protection with ANCAP highlighting a low risk of injury to front seat passengers in the full-width frontal test.

In the frontal offset test the driver rating drops to ‘marginal’ for chest area protection and ‘acceptable’ for lower leg protection, while pole test results also yielded an acceptable level of protection for the driver’s chest.
