Mercedes-Benz has prepared the first special edition of its new E-Class sedan, releasing the E-Class Night Edition in Australia.

Available on the brand’s entry-level offerings, the four-cylinder petrol E 200 and four-cylinder diesel E 220 d, the Night Edition bundles otherwise optional AMG Line Package styling and the the Vision Package together.

As a result standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, head-up display and 13-speaker Burmester sound system (thanks to the Vision Package) while on the outside the AMG Line Package adds a sports bodykit and 19-inch alloy wheels, while the interior gains leather seats (heated up front) privacy glass, and aluminium scuff plates.

In keeping with the Night Edition theme black styling elements have been added to the external mirrors, rear lights, and exhaust surrounds.

Engine outputs of the the 135kW/300Nm E 200 and143kW/400Nm E 220 d remain unchanged, with the sedan-only Night Edition costing $8900, bringing the E 200 up to $98,900 plus on-road costs, and the E 220 d to $101,800 plus on-road costs.
