2017 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Super-SUV Breaks Cover

Mercedes-AMG has expanded its range of high-tune Benzes with the announcement of the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4Matic - the soon-to-be flagship of the GLC-Class range of midsize SUVs.

Powered by the same 3.0 litre twin-turbo petrol V6 as its sedan cousin the Mercedes-AMG C43, the GLC43 pumps out a stout 270kW of power between 5500 and 6000rpm, and a fat 520Nm of torque between 2500-4500rpm. 

That oomph goes to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic and AMG-tuned version of Benz's 4Matic AWD driveline, with a nominal torque split of 31:69 front to rear.
