BMW's Alpina-tuned B7 limousine has arrived in local showrooms.

The German brand's aftermarket tuner has worked its magic on the BMW 7-Series adding to its local range which includes the B4 Coupe and B3 sedan.

The B7 Bi-Turbo adds more luxury, power and a sportier character to the 750Li limousine on which it is based.

Priced from $369,720 - which is $55k more expensive than the long-wheelbase 750Li - the Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo features an upgraded 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that generates 447kW and 800Nm, which is a significant increase over the 330kW and 650Nm produced in standard trim and enough to propel it from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 330km/h.

Alpina also promises a more enthusiastic soundtrack from its stainless steel exhaust system and a sportier driving character with revised suspension settings that lower the car by 20mm and a unique Alpina Sport+ setting that tailors the steering, throttle response and gearbox shift patterns.

Visually, the Alpina B7 is defined by its unique 21-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in special Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and a subtle body kit that improves aerodynamics for greater high speed stability.

The already luxurious cabin has been given a makeover with high-quality Lavalina leather on the steering wheel, the choice of either piano lacquer or myrtle wood dash inserts and a revised digital instrument cluster with a central speedo when switched to Sport modes.

Alpina also has a long list of exclusive options to further enhance the exclusivity of the B7's cabin, such as additional Lavalina leather trim for $14,327 or a full cockpit re-trim for $31,669.
