2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI 40 Years – Price and Features For Australia

Volkswagen is celebrating the 40th birthday of the Golf GTI with a limited edition GTI 40 Years model.

A slow release of information throughout the year revealed most of the new vehicle’s details, including the capped release of 400 DSG automatic models, and 100 manuals.

Motivation comes from a version of the GTI’s EA888 series motor, tuned up from the standard 165kW and 350Nm outputs, to a more enticing 195kW and 350Nm - with a technical specification that sees it more closely related to the Golf R.
