After making its concept debut in 2014, the Nissan Kicks is set to enter production in 2016, with Latin American markets the target ahead of a global roll-out.

To be built at Nissan’s Resende Industrial Complex in Brazil, alongside the March and Versa (we know them as the Micra and Almera) where it will be offered in South American markets first, ahead of plans to launch the new model globally.

The 2014 Kicks concept offered a slightly larger footprint and overall length than the Nissan Juke, making it only a touch smaller than the Qashqai, but it remains to be seem how the production model will slot into Nissan’s SUV portfolio.
