The 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe has been spotted during testing this week, as the carmaker prepares to launch the new model later this year.
Following the launch of sedan and wagon versions last year, the C-Class coupe is expected to bring similar styling language when it arrives in showrooms.
The spy pics show the new model is now carrying front-end styling similar but not identical to the sedan and wagon, with a new grille shape and a ‘cut-out’ section below the bumper.
Headlights appear slightly smaller than those of the outgoing model, and now do away with bulges on the outer edge for a more uniform look.
The windscreen appears more sharply raked than on the current model, and the spy pics suggest a more integrated look with the coupe-style roof.
Styling definitely differs from the sedan at the rear, as the heavily-camouflaged test vehicle appears to be sporting new tail-lights but similar exhaust tips.
Reports point to an ‘updated’ interior over the C-Class sedan and wagon, which could be introduced to the sedan and wagon when these models are due for an update.
A convertible version is also on the cards, but Mercedes-Benz is yet to confirm whether this model will be a hard- or soft-top.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe could be unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, with rumours suggesting it will be joined there by the C 63 AMG version.
