Kia’s next-generation Optima sedan has been spied testing frequently over the past year. Camouflage has obscured its finer details, but it is clear the new Optima will evolve the sharp lines of the current model.
A clear look at the new Optima’s interior has been hard to come by, however, until now. This week, a new photo obtained by Chinese website Autohome has at last offered an unadulterated view of the new model’s premium dash design.
As with the exterior, the new Optima’s interior evolves the design of the current model, focusing on a driver-centric design.
Already boasting a surprisingly premium look for its segment, the Optima will lose the large metallic band that wraps the centre stack of the current model.
Instead, the new Optima will lean to a more elegantly minimalist style with smaller silver trimming through the dash surrounding gloss black highlights.
New exposed cup holders can also be seen, replacing the sliding door-covered style of the current model.
