Jeep Australia has announced a new promotion to run throughout this month, offering cut-price diesel upgrades for its Grand Cherokee 4WD customers.
Called the “$1000 Diesel” offer, the promotion offers customers the chance to upgrade to a turbo-diesel engine for $1000 (as the name suggests), representing a saving of up to $6000 over the regular price.
For the extra grand, the SUV picks up the diesel’s greater torque and improved fuel economy over the equivalent petrol variants along with a 3500kg maximum tow rating (1000kg more than the petrol V6).
Jeep’s Grand Cherokee diesel engine is a 3.0 litre turbocharged V6 unit with power and torque figures of 184kW and 570Nm. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.5 l/100km.
