Maybe, if these spy photos of a test mule gettings some track time at the Nurburgring are anything to go by.
But even if it isn't, we can certainly expect a comprehensive makeover to be applied to the Korean brand's quirky three (or is it four?) door hatch sometime next year.
Through the heavy camouflage we can see that the updated Veloster Turbo will receive a different front bumper design, new headlamp lenses and restyled tail lights. The Turbo's distinctive twin central tail pipes will remain.
Wheel designs will also be freshened up for the 2016 model year.
There's no indication whether Hyundai will apply any power increases to the Veloster Turbo's 150kW/265Nm 1.6 litre engine, but the presence of this prototype at the Nurburgring circuit indicates that the Veloster's handling is being refined further.
We can expect to see the updated Veloster Turbo make its debut sometime in the first half of next year, with the naturally-aspirated Veloster range also getting similar updates (albeit with different bumper and wheel designs, as with the current model).
