2016 Hyundai Elantra Spied Testing

With the current Elantra set to turn six years old next year, Hyundai is hard at work on a brand-new replacement for its small sedan.

Camouflaged prototypes have been spotted undergoing cold-weather testing in Germany, where Hyundai's European product development centre is located.

The camo obscures most details, but the roofline suggests the current car's sleek silhouette will stay.

Expect the rest of the bodywork to channel Hyundai's "Fluidic Sculpture 2.0" design language, which was first employed by the current Genesis sedan.
