It looks like black is the new, well black, at least in the case of the new Honda Civic sedan which has given the boring colour-match body kits of the past the flick in favour of a new Black Pack.

Honda’s Black Pack has previously also been available on the Jazz, but, for Civic duty, it arrives with black 17-inch alloy wheels, a black front under-spoiler, black side skirts, and black door mirror covers for $2298 RRP (including fitting) on the Honda Civic RS.

Adding the Black Pack to the VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L and VTi-LX grades will set you back slightly more - $2998 RRP including fitting - and also adds a black lip-spoiler and black sports grille.

The slightly different kits are a result of the RS model’s already-standard black grille and low-profile rear spoiler.

The Black Pack pricing doesn’t include the larger 17-inch tyres that will be required for VTi and VTi-S models, however for higher grade Civics, owners will be able to swap the existing tyres from the VTi-L, RS, and VTi-LX into the new dark alloy wheels.

“Many Honda customers really enjoy being able to individualise their cars,” Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins said.

“The all-new Civic is already a stunning looking car but adding the eye- catching ‘Black Pack’ edition really does set the car apart.”

A full range of accessories for the Civic will also be available for the new sedan range when it goes on sale nationally in July.
