Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has issued a recall of its 2016 Dodge Journey, concerning a risk of transmission oil pressure loss.

A total of 60 vehicles fall under the recall, (although 24 of those cars remain in dealer stock) with a production period spanning from the 17th of August 2015 to the 29th of January 2016.

Vehicles affected by the recall may experience a loss of transmission hydraulic pressure due to an improperly manufactured transaxle oil pump.

A transaxle oil pump failure whilst driving will result in the moss of motive power, posing a potential accident risk.

FCA Australia will contact owners of affected vehicles to arrange replacement of the oil pump. Dodge Journey owners wish to know more can contact their local dealer for further information.
