Images purported to be official brochure shots for Toyota’s updated 2015 Yaris hatch have surfaced online this week.
The brochure pages highlight new features for the Japan-market Vitz - sold here as the Yaris - including a new Corolla-inspired grille and redesign lights at both ends.
Up front, the new grille features a chrome garnish that merges with redesigned headlight internals that, depending on the model, get LED running lights and a blackened background.
There’s two styles of redesigned tail-light lenses at the rear and a longer new chrome grab handle in the hatch.
The regular Vitz/Yaris model also gets a new front bumper with tall slender intakes flanking a a large lower grille, although it is unclear if this design will be offered with Australian models.
In the cabin, the light hatch has been given a more premium look, gaining a larger display screen, along with new silver and gloss black highlights and - in the RS model - a meatier steering wheel with contrast stitching.
The updated Yaris has been confirmed for a May launch in the UK, suggesting we could see a revised Yaris range hit Australia later in the year.
The current Yaris made its Australian debut in late 2011, meaning this coming set of tweaks will be the hatch’s first update since launch.
