Rolls-Royce has detailed its Ghost Series II for the Australian market, slashing an eye-opening $90,000 from the price of the outgoing model.

Pricing for the 2015 model now starts at $519,000 plus on-road costs - down from $609,000 - with an estimated drive-away price of $545,000.

The Ghost first launched in Australia in 2009, while the Series II was first unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

Australia is in the top-five for Ghost sales in the Asia-Pacific region, and all Ghost customers in 2013 ordered some form of 'Bespoke' options for their car.

The price-cut is therefore aimed at encouraging buyers to add further Bespoke options to their Ghosts, with more choices now available in the new model.

“In Ghost Series II, customers will find the same level of exclusivity, quality and perfection that is quintessentially Rolls-Royce,” Rolls-Royce’s Regional Director, Paul Harris, said.

“Our Australia-based customers will be delighted to know that with the introduction of new exclusive finishes, wheels and interior veneer options, there’s greater scope for Bespoke personalisation to express their individuality.”
