Renault has released a teaser sketch of its new 2015 Trafic van, ahead of a debut expected to occur in the coming months.
The new model will again be shared with Opel, and the German carmaker has joined the teaser train today with its own Vivaro-badged sketch.
Renault says the new Trafic’s powertrains “will benefit from Renault’s expertise in the world of Formula 1 racing”, suggesting some filter-down efficiency technologies will appear.
Designer Kihyun Jung said today that the new Trafic embodies Renault’s latest styling language, as defined by design boss Laurens van den Acker.
“My aim was to achieve a dynamic, assertive stance without sacrificing either the robustness or user-friendliness customers expect of their van.”
Opel’s Vivaro version will likely carry a nearly identical look through the profile, while adding a unique headlight, grille and bumper design.
More details are expected to come soon.
