The current generation Opel Corsa is now into its eighth year on the market, which puts it well past retirement age.

Thankfully for Opel a replacement isn't far away, and to build up buzz ahead of the new Corsa's release at the Paris Motor Show in October, the German automaker has released a teaser video and a slew of photos of its new B-segment hatch.

Granted, it's still wearing camouflage (got to keep some surprises for the show, right?), but it's light enough for us to make out most of the important details.

Details like door apertures and glass that look suspiciously similar to those of the current Corsa, which makes us think this is an extensive facelift rather than an all-new model. Think VE-to-VF Commodore for an Australian analogue.

But even if the central structure remains largely the same, the front and rear sport a fresh design that brings the Corsa into line with other models in Opel's stable, with new lamp clusters, reshaped sheetmetal and new bumpers.
