Nissan's quirky Juke crossover is about to get its first major update, and these latest teaser images hint at what we'll see in Geneva this week.

"But the Juke only launched last year!" you cry. In Australia, yes, that's true - but in Europe, the Juke has been on the market since 2010.

The Juke arrived in local showrooms in October, a full year after the stars finally aligned on a business case for the Australian market.

Now, Nissan is poised to unveil a subtle but significant update for the compact Juke at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

These new images, along with TMR's earlier spy photos, reveal that we can expect a new 370Z-like hooked headlight design, along with updated tail-lights, adding a modern LED-based design.

An update to the bumper and grille design is also expected, bringing the Juke more in-line with Nissan's bolder new SUV range.

It's unclear if the Juke's cabin will come in for any updates, although improved materials and a larger display could be on the cards, along with a new steering wheel design.

Watch for more details to come in Geneva next month.
