The Paceman gets a minor styling refresh for 2014, along with new interior features, improved fuel economy and more power for the Cooper S.
Power for the Cooper S is up from 135kW to 140kW, while torque from the 1.6 litre twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine remains at 240Nm.
Fuel consumption in the Cooper S has improved from 6.6 to 6.0 l/100km, reflecting a general improvement in fuel economy across the model range.
Exterior features now include tyre pressure control on each wheel and optional lightweight alloy wheels, along with Piano Black, Jungle Green and Midnight Grey paint finishes.
Inside, the new Pacemen gets darkened instrument dials in all models along with chrome highlights on the air vents.
In Australia, the Paceman is currently available in Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works models, and each version is available with either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
Only petrol-powered 1.6 litre turbo and naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engines are currently available in Australia, while some overseas markets also get the choice of two diesel engines.
Both the 2015 Paceman and Countryman will begin to arrive in overseas showrooms from July this year.
Watch for the 2015 MINI Paceman to arrive in Australia shortly after the updated Countryman, either late 2014 or early 2015.
