Mercedes-AMG has today confirmed that its coming new C 63 will be powered by a bi-turbo 4.0 litre V8 producing a mighty 375kW and 700Nm of torque.
It had previously been believed that AMG’s new V8 - which also features in the recently revealed AMG GT - would power the next C 63, but today’s news marks the first official confirmation of its outputs.

The new figures represent a ‘mere’ 2kW increase over the output of the outgoing line-up’s Edition 507 hero, along with a whopping 90Nm increase in torque.
Those numbers also give the new C 63 a mean 50Nm more torque than the top-shelf ‘S’ version of the AMG GT coupe.
Importantly for the horsepower heroes out there, the C 63 AMG’s outputs also outdo the 317kW/550Nm turbo six of the BMW M3 and the naturally-aspirated 331kW/430Nm V8 that drives the Audi RS 4.
