Mazda has pulled the covers from its new Mazda2 Sedan, ahead of an official unveiling at the Thailand Motor Show.

Reports earlier this month correctly predicted the unveiling, which follows the hatch’s local arrival last month.

The ‘2’ Sedan was once available to Mazda customers in Australia, when Mazda briefly switched from Japanese-built to Thai-built ‘2’ models in 2010.

A switch back to Japanese-sourced Mazda2s in early 2011 put an end to the sedan’s brief availability in Australia due to a lack of stock, and Mazda Australia hasn’t offered it since.
