New photos of what appears to be Mazda’s new MX-5 have surfaced online today, offering a fresh look at the new roadster in its production body.
If authentic, these new images would also mark the first appearance of the new ‘ND’ MX-5 without borrowed panels or heavy cladding.
The all-new MX-5 is due for its global unveiling on September 4, and Mazda has so far enjoyed great success in keeping its new sports car from falling prey to the security issues that plague most new models.
Light camouflage obscures this prototype’s finer details, although more than a few clues can be gleened from these new shots.
Speculation, combined with the appetite-whetting comments of Mazda officials over the past month, have led fans to anticipate a combination of the MX-5’s classic styling and the ‘Kodo’ language of the company’s latest models.
