UPDATE: The all-new MX-5 HAS NOW BEEN REVEALED.
It is now mere hours until Mazda’s all-new MX-5 makes its global debut, but a last-minute new rendering has surfaced online.
In itself, that’s no reason to get excited, let alone throw out yet another article. This one, however, comes with an interesting twist.
This unique new view appears to not only bear more than a few similarities to that recent on-road video from Japan - it may also be the work of a Mazda employee.
Surfacing on MX-5 enthusiast community Miata.net overnight, these images are the work of user ‘SethofDeath’, marking his first-ever post on the forum.
The images bear the watermark “Designed by Seth Elson”, and searches online have revealed that a man by that name is also employed by Mazda of North America.
Isn’t that something…
Contacted by American motoring site Jalopnik, a spokesperson reportedly replied, none-too-cheeky, “So what, employees like to sketch too.”
