The all-new Lexus NX SUV has been given an early unveiling this week, courtesy of new leaked images appearing on an enthusiast forum overnight.
The NX, Lexus' first entrant into the hotly contested 'small SUV' market, is due to make its official debut at this month's Beijing Auto Show.
These leaked images confirm that the new NX, based on last year's LF-NX concept, will see its sharp mass of lines and folds softened out before production begins.
The concept's influence remains clear however, with the new NX retaining its angular character lines and boxy guards, along with the boldest incarnation yet of the company's new 'spindle' grille design.
The model shown here wears 'NX 300h' plates and badging, indicating that Lexus will again offer a hybrid option in its latest line-up.
The company has also confirmed it will offer a small 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine with the new NX, debuting the powertrain with the LF-NX at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Watch for official details on the new NX to come at this month's Beijing Auto Show.
