The Korean carmaker says the interior design team were influenced by "the finest modern Swiss watches", and we can expect a large infotainment screen along with lots of soft-touch materials and leather.
The new image joins a pair of teaser sketches for the all-new Sorento from last week, with the new model set to be unveiled in Korea next month.
Kia will give its big Sorento a number of unique design elements however, debuting a bonnet design that almost completely overlaps the brand’s familiar ‘tiger nose’ grille.
A new stepped headlight design can also be seen here, adding to the new model’s more curvaceous yet powerful design.
Kia promises a lower roofline and a higher beltline, along with deeply sculpted character lines through the profile and “rounded shoulders” at the rear.
The new Sorento is expected to be a few centimetres longer than the current model, and its 2700mm wheelbase is also expected to grow.
Kia will unveil its big new SUV in Korea next month, ahead of a global premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October.
An Australian debut is scheduled to occur in early 2015.
