2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Revealed Ahead Of LA Auto Show

Ford has revealed its new Mustang Shelby GT350 muscle car, ahead of an official unveiling at the LA Auto Show.

Eyeing off rivals from Chevrolet and Dodge, the GT 350's big 5.2 litre V8 is likely to make some equally big numbers - but Ford's keeping quiet for now on just what we can expect.

The carmaker says the power plant is good for “more than” 500 HP (373kW) and 400 LB-FT (542Nm); but it will need to be ‘a lot’ more to come close to Dodge’s colossal 527kW/881Nm Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Those figures mean the GT350’s engine is the most powerful naturally-aspirated unit to come from a ‘standard’ Ford production plant, doing away with the supercharger that powered the GT500.
