Petrol And Diesel Engines Updated

On the petrol side, there is Ford’s 2.0 litre turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, replacing the earlier 1.6 litre mill in all-wheel-drive Trend and Titanium models.
The change marks a significant boost in power, up from 134kW/240Nm to a new 176kW/340Nm - an increase of 42kW in power and 100Nm in torque.
The swap makes the Kuga one of the most powerful offerings among Australia’s volume-selling medium SUVs, with only Subaru’s 177kW/350Nm Forester XT bettering the Ford.
With great power, in this case, comes a noteable impact on fuel consumption, increasing from 8.0 l/100km with the old 1.6 mill to 8.6 l/100km with the 2.0 litre engine.
Ford has also introduced a pair of 110kW/240Nm and 134kW/240Nm 1.5 litre EcoBoost petrol engines, replacing earlier 1.6 litre options that offered identical figures.
