The above photo, and those in the attached gallery, follow the release of official images that have so far focused on the large sedan’s front end. Ford has yet to release full views of the interior and rear.
As expected, and as teased in a tightly cropped image earlier this month, changes to the Falcon’s rear are nearly as extensive as those made to the front.
A brand-new lens design can be seen, with the Falcon’s rear taking on a very Jaguar XF look for the new model year.
Replacing the tall units of the current ‘FG’ model, the rear lights of the ‘FH’ Falcon have taken on an elongated design that reaches into the tailgate.
A long chrome garnish is also shown, running through the centre of the boot lid and joining the lights at the clear portion of the lens.
The rear bumper has also been updated, with a new lower diffuser-style panel and new character lines.
These changes join the facelifted front-end, which appeared this month with a new look to the headlights, grille and bonnet.
The 2015 Falcon range has now been revealed in G6E, XR6 and XR8 form, but Ford has yet to preview the basic Falcon model.
We should also expect official interior and rear-end shots to appear in the coming weeks.
