Toyota’s refreshed Corolla hatch will hit Australia in June, the company has confirmed, and it will bring new sports styling to the range’s top-shelf models.
Revealed in March, the updated 2015 Corolla has been given a makeover that includes a new winged chrome grille, new headlights and new bumpers, along with re-styled tail lamps and new wheel designs.
A new sports styling kit will also feature in the updated Australian range, equipped as standard with the up-spec SX and ZR models.
"We are spicing up the Corolla hatch range with two distinct looks - the classic redesign seen in the European car and the added spark displayed by the sporty-looking US car," Toyota Australia marketing boss Tony Cramb said.
Unique styling features of the local SX and ZR models will include a mesh grille pattern and a more aggressive bumper design.
The hatch’s sporting pretensions end with its looks, however, with power provided by Toyota’s familiar 103kW 1.8 litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
Watch for both versions of the updated Corolla hatch to land in the next few weeks.
