Shown here in its five- and overseas three-door outfits, the revised M135i hatch gets the same front and rear lighting updates, along with a new styling package.
That change is clearest at the front, where we see a new bumper and aero package that includes fresh satin silver garnishes around the outboard ‘intakes’.
The profile is largely unchanged - even the rolling stock is the same five-twin-spoke alloys worn by the outgoing model - while the rear gets a lightly revised lower bumper section.
BMW has also confirmed upgrades under the bonnet, with the M135i now gifted with the same 5kW power bump that gave the M235i Coupe its 240kW and 450Nm power and twist figures.
The updated 1 Series range will make its Australian debut early in the second half of 2015. Watch for local details to be confirmed closer to launch.
