Okay, so it might be wearing the automotive equivalent of a burqua, but our sources tell us this is indeed the mid-cycle update of Audi's Q3 small SUV.
Just visibile behind the camouflage is the reshaped lenses for the head lights and tail lights, which will feature new designs as well as a greater use of LED technology.
The front and rear bumpers will also be reshaped and are expected to incorporate changes to the approach and departure angles to allow the Q3 a 'light truck' classification in the United States - one of the primary reasons for the Q3's exclusion from that market to date.
As for mechanical changes, details are sketchy.
Expect to see the updated Q3 make its official debut in the last quarter of this year, but until then we can look forward to the local arrival of the 228kW RS Q3 in February.
