2014 SUBARU FORESTER
Subaru’s midsized Forester SUV has been given a small but significant price cut, slipping below the $30,000 (before on-roads) barrier this week.
Applying specifically to the entry Forester 2.0i Manual All-Wheel-Drive, the cut represents a saving of $1000 off the model’s debut list price of early 2013.
Pricing and features across the range remain otherwise unchanged however, meaning that the next model up remains the 2.5i Auto at $32,990 plus on-roads.
Entry into the Forester range remains a more expensive proposition than Toyota's new RAV4, which kicks off at $28,690 (before on-roads) for the two-wheel-drive GX manual.
However, stepping into an all-wheel-drive RAV4 will boost the price to $34,690 (before on-roads).
The still-fresh new Forester range launched in Australia early last year, introducing a wider choice of drivetrain options, greater interior space and a host of new features.
On the styling front, the new Forester continues the design language introduced with the new Impreza hatch and sedan range in 2012.
