Skoda's large Superb liftback sedan and wagon have been given a quick nip-and-tuck for the 2014 model year, revealed in new images overnight.
Arriving as the first major styling update since the current model's 2008 debut, the refreshed Superb has been brought in-line with Skoda's newer models.
Tail-lights are also new, there's a sharpened lid design for the liftback model and the wagon gets a new tailgate design and subtly revised tail-lights.
Inside, the cabin has been given a light going-over, with new materials and a brand-new steering wheel giving the stately Skoda a refreshed premium look.
Engine options remain unchanged for 2014, although Skoda claims a nearly 19 percent reduction in fuel consumption for some models.
In the case of the 1.6 TDI Greenline (with the only figures offered), fuel consumption is listed at just 4.2 l/100km.
Speaking with TMR today, Skoda Australia's Kurt McGuiness confirmed a 2014 debut for the updated Superb. Specific timing will be revealed closer to launch.
