2014 RENAULT MEGANE UPDATE
Renault's small Megane has been given a final makeover before retirement, following the launch of an updated Australian range in July.
For 2014, the Megane has been gifted with the carmaker's new family face, rounding off the inside corner of the existing headlights - now connected through Renault's familiar new grille design.
There's also new bumper designs across the range, including the five- and three-door hatch bodies, the wagon, and the top-shelf Megane RS performer.
Full details of the updated range are still to be revealed, although we could expect revised engine options, improved fuel economy and new cabin features to join the styling tweaks.
The updated line-up will hit European markets in the first quarter of 2014, coming to Australia later in the year.
The current Megane range will turn six years-old in 2014, and we can likely expect an all-new model to debut sometime late in 2015 or in early 2016.
The local Megane range landed an update in July, featuring a 103kW 2.0 petrol engine and an 81kW 1.5 litre turbodiesel. The wagon model also debuted, along with the new GT 220 and GT Line variants.
