Available in Australia from February, the AU$$443,600 Panamera Turbo S packs some impressive numbers, including a 3.8 second sprint from zero to 100km/h, on its way to a top speed of 310km/h.
Porsche’s 4.8 litre twin-turbo V8 now comes with 420kW and 750Nm, with 800Nm available on over-boost.
Thanks to new turbochargers and increased fuel pressure, the Turbo S has 38kW and 50Nm more than the ‘regular’ Panamera Turbo.
Despite the extra urge, the Panamera Turbo S still matches the Turbo model’s combined fuel figure of 10.2 l/100km; over 11 percent better than the previous model.
The Turbo S comes standard with the “Sport Chrono” package, with “normal”, “sport” and “sport-plus” modes controlling power and chassis settings, while the seven-speed Doppelkupplung transmission receives a reworked shift pattern.
Inside, the Turbo S gets two-tone leather in Dark Burl Walnut with “a hint of red”. The powered front seats offer 14-way adjustment while both front and rear seats are ventilated.
Buyers can opt for adaptive sports seats, which offer 18-way adjustment, raised seat side bolsters and are clad in Alcantara leather.
The 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S is on sale in Australia from February, priced from $443,600 plus on-roads.
